Background

Humboldt Creamery, established in 1929, has built a strong reputation for producing some of the finest dairy products on the West Coast. With a loyal following in its home county, the brand has long been cherished for its high-quality dairy and commitment to craftsmanship. However, as the company looked to expand its reach beyond Humboldt County, it became clear that a comprehensive rebrand was needed to ensure greater visibility and appeal on a larger scale.

Objective

The project involved a complete overhaul of Humboldt Creamery’s packaging, alongside the introduction of new products. The new design system had to encompass a wide range of packaging formats, including aseptic cartons, plastic tubs, corrugated boxes, folded cartons, and in-mold injected labels. The goal was to create a consistent and modern packaging look that would appeal to both existing customers and new markets. The new packaging needed to reflect the brand’s rich heritage while positioning it for future growth, ensuring it stood out in retail environments and resonated with a broader audience.
